Peanut Butter and Jelly Smoothie

There’s no real jelly in this smoothie — but when you blend fresh berries and peanut butter together, it tastes a lot like that favorite sandwich classic! Plus, you’ll be filling your glass with protein, which fills you with energy.

kitchen gear

  • Cutting board
  • Sharp knife (adult needed)
  • Measuring cup
  • Measuring spoons
  • Blender (adult needed)

Ingredients

 

  • 1⁄2 cup plain yogurt
  • 1 cup milk
  • 2 tablespoons creamy peanut butter or almond butter, if you prefer
  • 1 cup fresh or frozen strawberries
  • 3 ice cubes

Instructions

 

  • Put all the ingredients in the blender. 
  • Put the top on tightly. Turn on the blender to medium speed and blend until the mixture is smooth, 30-60 seconds.
  • Divide the smoothie equally between 2 glasses and serve right away, or store in a thermos or covered in the refrigerator up to 4 hours.
