EBT Card to Culture

When the fall weather becomes a bit drearier, taking the bus or walking to the nearest museum is a great way to get out and stay active. Did you know that your EBT card can get you discounted or even free admission to many museums, theatres, and other cultural organizations? Massachusetts Department of Transitional Assistance and Mass Cultural Council have partnered to create a program called EBT Card to Culture. This gives you access to many of the amazing places and events in the state. All participating places are listed based on region, so it should be easy for you to find something near you.

Be sure to check each location’s website separately since discounts vary from place to place. Benefits may include discounted tickets, free tickets for a certain number of people, or free admission for just children. Whether you go alone, bring a friend, or take the kids, visiting a local museum is a great way to get in some physical activity and learn something new. Especially when it is cold and rainy, museums are a perfect way to get in some extra steps for the day! If you need more ideas for staying active during the fall and winter, visit this page on our website.
