Peanut butter and banana is a classic combination, but you can add just about any fruit you like to a peanut butter sandwich! Here, we’re using juicy pears.

kitchen gear

  • Cutting board
  • Dinner knife
  • Sharp knife (adult needed)

Ingredients

  • 1⁄2 ripe pear, peeled
  • 2 tablespoons peanut butter
  • 2 slices whole-wheat or multigrain bread, toasted

Instructions

  • Use the dinner knife to spread most of the peanut butter on one slice of bread and a little bit on the other slice.
  • Arrange the pear slices over the peanut butter on one slice and top with the other slice (peanut butter side down).
  • Cut the sandwich in half and serve right away.
