Monica Matczak
Monica Matczak, lovingly called Miss M by her students, has been working with SNAP-Ed participants in the Boston area for over 5 years. As the lead educator for charter school programs, she masterfully delivers high quality programming to diverse students with a wide range of abilities and ages (2.9 years old through high school).
For Monica, the most rewarding aspect of teaching SNAP-Ed is seeing students engaged and excited to learn about nutrition. Teaching the same students for several years, she has been able to see many of them make significant changes to their eating habits and that is very rewarding as an educator.
As the office with the highest turnover, Monica’s experience, friendliness, and mentorship to new staff is incredibly important to the success of the SNAP-Ed programs being delivered throughout the Boston area. Monica’s hobbies include scrap booking, traveling, reading, cooking and baking, and spending time with her 9-lb Morkie named Kingston, who has become the official mascot of the Boston office.
