Arlene Iraola has been working for SNAP-Ed Program for 24 years. She started off as a unit clerk in 1994 for the University of Extension NEP program, then took a course at the University of Massachusetts in 1996 to obtain certification to become a nutrition educator. She has found working in the community over the years very rewarding. SNAP-Ed has given her the experience of working with large diverse groups facilitating food and nutrition programs. What she enjoys the most is showing participants that they don’t have to change their culture to eat healthy. Instead, she helps them modify their favorite foods to be healthier.
